Roper St. Francis Foundation

We are the Roper St. Francis Foundation, strengthening the Roper St. Francis Healthcare mission of healing all people with compassion, faith and excellence.

This year we celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Roper Xavier Society and the remarkable generosity of community members who have contributed to our ability to provide excellent care over the last decade.  Your gifts have touched nearly every corner of our healthcare system and have created life changing moments for the people we serve.  We hope to count on your future support as we work to improve the health of our community.

Creating more tomorrows

The friends and family of Dr. John von Lehe created the annual John von Lehe Memorial Cast and Blast Tournament to honor a man who touched the lives of so many in our Lowcountry community.  All of the proceeds from the event were generously donated to Roper St. Francis Cancer Care to further cancer research and to bring hope to cancer patients and their families.

Funding unparalled access to care

Roper Hospital is the first and only hospital on the Charleston peninsula with a rooftop helipad for emergency helicopter transportation, thanks to nearly $1.8 million in donor support. The helipad will save at least 15 minutes from the previous transportation process, allowing patients to receive life-saving treatment within minutes of arrival.
