Donor Impact

Your generosity makes a significant difference. From expansion of the new Roper Hospital Cardiac Wellness & Rehabilitation, a first-class space for our recovering cardiovascular patients, to furthering the education of our nursing staff and even helping to build our Roper St. Francis Mount Pleasant Hospital what you give to the Foundation truly changes lives.

From the Desk of David Dunlap

I recently received a letter from a grateful patient named Helen who had come to Roper St. Francis in an emergency. She said, "I was recently taken to St. Francis Hospital for a life threatening event. I remember nothing about the first two days, yet I know I was treated with great care as the staff worked to pull me through. Everyone I came in contact with acted with what I believe was ‘above and beyond’ the call of duty. They saw me through a very difficult and frightening time with compassion, care and a great sense of humor."

I am confident in my belief that each person who treated Helen provided high quality and compassionate care because of philanthropic support – by having access to cutting-edge technology or the privilege of an advanced education. Our mission is simple—healing all people with compassion, faith and excellence—and your partnership with our Foundation helps us continue to provide the very best for our patients and their families.

Sincerely,

David L. Dunlap, FACHE
President and Chief Executive Officer, Roper St. Francis Healthcare

CHANGING MOMENTS

“Our mother was a patient in the Roper Cardiac Care Unit. Their knowledge, compassion, tentativeness, wit and laughter made our stay at the hospital feel like we were at home. We could not have picked a better place to entrust the care of our Mother.”
